Just a quick message to wish everyone a joyous holiday season. I will be back next year (as I am so behind in my crafting!) Please take care & enjoy the holidays.
Love,
Janis
Hey all~
Thank you for visiting. Our CT was asked to create an altered CC Designs image. We had specifically got permission to alter just the head/body only from CC Designs but no wiping away portions. I used Honey Bikini and Fall Emma with the Swiss field fence, thinking it's the change of the seasons. This was also a sketch challenge. And, since it's still October, we want to stress Breast Cancer Awareness.
This was the sketch challenge that we followed:
Hope you enjoyed this Tamiko's challenge. This will be our CT's last challenge for now. But, please come back soon. I still have my September OCS to post this weekend!!! Thank you for visiting and have a great day!!!
Hugs,
Hi all~
I didn't get a chance to post the September tags. Here is the cute tags that I received from my swap partner, Cindy A., up in beautiful Canada:
Here is a close up shot:
Here is my tags that I made. I altered my image a bit. I used the Hero Arts tag stamp but trimmed off the scalloped border & put on a Dandelion Design image called Stocking. I used a Sizzix die called Super scallop crescent with some red bazzil paper. I also made a tag holder to go with my tags.
Here's a tag up close:
The 3 tags together:

Thank you for visiting my blog and always leaving such kind comments. It's such an inspiration. Please come back to check out what I created for Thursday. Until then....
Hugs,
Janis
Hi all~
It's time for another of Tamiko's Thursday Teaser Challenge. This challenge is to use something that incorporated the color pink, as October is Susan Komen breast cancer awareness month. To honor this event, when you shop with Tamiko's when you put in the code "pink10" at the checkout, it'll automatically give you 10% off your purchase. This offer is good throughout this month of October.
Now onto my image, I used CC Designs Nora on a Swing, and used various shades of pink on her outfit. I even found a pink butterfly. But, I had to make it pop a little so I used some black dsp.
Hope that you like the way it turned out. Remember, early detection is the best prevention to breast cancer awareness!! Tell all of your female friends and family. Hope everyone has a great weekend and thank you so much for visiting!
Hugs,
Hey all~
Thank you for visiting me on another Tamiko's Thursday Challenge. Our creative team was asked to use a combination of Brads, Buttons & Bling. All 3 types must be used on a card. Here is what I came up with. Can you find where I put the brads?
I chose these colors for summer because I tried to incorporate 2 projects into one! lol. I also decided prior to this that I was running out of time for my September OCS so off it went to my partner. Hope she will like it! Thank you for visiting and I hope to have some creations in a couple days.
Hugs,
Last week, I came home to happy mail. I had won a blogaversary over at Fay's My Stamping Creations. I've never won anything before so I was so surprised when I saw my name. I enjoy checking out Fay's site because of all of wonderful creations. I believe that we actually met sometime last year at several m&t at various local stores. She's the sweetest person!!! Thanks again Fay!!!
Thanks for visiting everyone! Have a great week!
Hugs,
Hi all~
Welcome to another of Tamiko's Thursday Teaser (TTT)!!! Our CT was asked to incorporate some Nestabilities into our card & freestyle the rest. I chose to use Travel Anya on my card. Fall is here and we can say farewell to our summer travels. She is so sweet. I colored her several times. My desk is a mess from all of my trial & errors. Putting the card together was a lot of fun. I wanted to use the last of the summer colors. What do you think?
Thanks for visiting! Come back soon & I'll be posting up some pictures of some blog candy that I won!
Hugs,
Hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend. It's been a fun weekend for me...3 days since I had a furlough day. It gives me an extra day to create. I tried my hand at the Karber girl challenge. Trying my hand at Copic Cool Grey's now. This was not my first image that I colored. My first attempt looked like a granny. heh-heh. Hope that this one is better.
Hope that everyone has a great week! Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Hi all~
It's time for Tamiko's Thursday Teaser again! We have a fun challenge for everyone. Our creative team was asked to create an altered TGF image on a 3D project. This was my first time working on an altered image but it turned out really fun!! I used Hula Anya's top portion with WS Megan's outfit.
My 3D project was a simple box that I created out of a 7" by 7" CS scored at 2 1/2" and 5" then I scored diagonally at the 4 corners. Then, I used my Nestabilities labels (there was a whole bunch just released again) for the 2 sides. Tamiko's has a wide selection of pretty ribbon that I got to choose from.
top view:
So, Tamiko's challenge will be to use a altered Greeting Farm image and it can be either a 3D or card. The winner will receive a Sweet Anya image. The challenge will close on September 30 at midnight (HST). You can choose to use either 2 TGF image or alter the eyes/hair. For specific details, please check Tamiko's blog. You'll also get to see the other CT members creations. Remember, if you spend $25 or more (in the US), you'll get free shipping & handling.
Thanks for visiting and have a beautiful weekend!!!
Hugs,
Aloha all~
It's Thursday and time for another Tamiko's Thursday Teaser. Today, we have a sketch challenge for you. For the specific details, go to Tamiko's blog. I had a fun time with Stella of TGF. I have been experimenting with blending and blending....and blending. First it was the hair, now it's the clothes. lol. And, since it's still summer (well, it's still HOT!) I'm loving these butterflies.
Thank you for visiting again. Hope to have some more creations later this weekend.
Take care,
**THIS POST TO REMAIN ON TOP UNTIL BLOG HOP IS OVER. PLEASE SEE CURRENT POSTS BELOW THIS ONE.**
Hi all-
If you just came from Teri's, welcome. If not, you can start from the original blogger, here.
Tamiko's is having a surprise blog hop to celebrate the new TGF releases. Just a few details:
- this will run until Sept. 7, 2010 11:59pm HST.
- one winner will be chosen the following day (Sept. 8th).
- blog hop candy: $10 gift certificate to Tamiko's and one choice of the new release rubber stamp from TGF, either Sweet Anya or Oh Boy Ian.
- You must comment on everyone's (CT) blog for a chance to win the prize/blog hop candy.
The CT had an opportunity to choose between the cute stamps (available for purchase at Tamiko's. Spend $25 and get FREE s/h).
I chose to use Sweet Anya. Once I saw how sweet she was, I knew I had to try.
and here is a little surprise on the inside....Happy Birthday Cami!
Thank you for visiting and the next blog hop is Linda of Simple & Sassy Creations. Wait till you see her beautiful creation! It's just out of this world!! Till next time...
Hugs,

Hope that everyone is enjoying of what is left of this beautiful Labor Day weekend. It's hot, hot, hot over here. Anyways, I had the fastest partner, in Kyoko's Christmas tag swap. If you want to join in on the fun, please sign up. Charlotte actually had dropped it off to my house the next day.
So, I'm thinking, whoa! I'd better get cracking. I had actually managed to finish everything in the squeak of time but she had also needed some of those cute SU! Holiday mini catalogs, which didn't ship until Sept. 1st. I just got them on Saturday. (
for those wanting a free one that had e-mailed me). So, I had some time on my hands, here is my tags:
That was a shot of one of my tags up close. I used Imaginsce Snag 'Em stamp. Since I had to make them as tags, I used the Artist Trading Card (ATC) format I found over at splitcoaststampers. Since I had some time, I decided to make a tag holder for it. So, I went over to Maria Bell's Christmas Stamping all year long site for some ideas. Here is an inside shot, with my tags.
Here is the outside, I used Martha Stewart Christmas punch.
I got the Cottage Christmas collection Imaginsce dsp over at J's Knicknacks. Hope my tag swap partner will enjoy it.
Thanks for visiting and hope you had a great weekend.
Hugs,
P.S.
Don't forget that the Tamiko's blog hop is still on until September 7 @ 11:59PM HST.
Aloha all~
Today is Thursday so that means we have another Teaser Thursday for Tamiko's. This time we were asked to create using Tamiko's colors: pink, brown & green. So, I thought what a fun challenge. I used Cupcake Anya and labels nestie to see what I could create. Here is what I came up with:
It was just my luck that Doodlebug had dsp made with those colors so I could enhance my card. hee-hee. Since it's still summer, I thought why not add some flowers & my new found butterflies.
Thank you for joining me again. Hope to see you again soon as I have a couple more creations to post in the upcoming days. Till then,
Hugs,
Aloha all~
Thank you for visiting me and hanging in there as I get back into crafting. It's been so hard to remember what to do...maybe it's called getting older, but I digress. I had so much fun trying to choose my stamp for this month's Asian theme that Linda chose. Here was my card to this month's partner, Janice which I had just sent out over the weekend.
I used the Kimono Kids stamp from SU! along with some Asian themed paper which I found over at Cute Stuff, along with that bright red cardstock. Please come back and watch me try to finish this month's projects.
Hugs,
Just a quick post to inform you of some exciting news from SU! The Holiday Mini Catalog officially launched today. Unfortunately, I did not receive my shipment. For those who indicated they wanted a FREE copy sent to them, I will let you know when I get them in...any day now.
Also, I wanted to show you what you can earn from SU! if you decide to become a demo under me between September 1 thru October 18, 2010 you will receive this beautiful Greenhouse Gale Craft Tote bag, which is normally reserved for purchase for demonstrators only. Feel free to contact me for further details.
Hugs,
Janis
Just wanted to share a graduation card that I made for gf, Linda's son. I tried to do a simple masculine card while still adding dimension. So, I used my labels nestie, EK success border punch with some dsp I found at Munchkins. I forgot to take a picture of the inside but it just was another border to that I could stick a little something inside. Hope everyone had a beautiful weekend. Come back for more this week.
Hugs,
Janis
Hope everyone is going to have a fun weekend. My mom & I were crafting on different projects yesterday. First, my mom made a lei for her brother (which I forgot to take a picture of) then I almost forgot to take a picture of the 25 favors for his birthday party at the Hawaii Prince Hotel. I used the Sizzix Big Shot Pro hanging box die with some dsp & ribbon which I got over at Tamiko's.
My mom also crocheted a couple more leis for our retiring Chief Justice Moon & his executive secretary at the renaming of our new Kapolei courthouse. Here is a quick shot at their leis on my desk.
I will be posting more during this weekend. Hopefully, my puppies won't eat anything else because someone (Mika) at my cell phone charger. lol. Have a great weekend everyone.
Aloha all~
We have a 3D challenge over at Tamiko's. What is a 3D challenge you ask? Our interpretation is anything but a card. So, for further specific details, please head over there. My contribution was to make a coaster calendar. I used cupcake Anya over some Doodlebug paper.
Thanks for visiting. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to post more creations this weekend!
Hugs,
Hi all-
I was fortunate enough to attend the Island Social 2 this year. We had a card contest, sponsored by Tamiko's. The cards will be given to a couple of local charities so I decided to participate in the fun.
I used my favorite, CC Designs stamp, Doodlebug paper and some Prima flowers.
Next, is a TGF Anya using some Imaginsce & SU! paper.
Last, but certainly not least, is Travel Anya. I think I actually managed to use Tamiko's colors in this one (pink, green & brown). I guess that I was on such a roll that I accidentally overlooked that tiny detail. Oops!
I hope that everyone had a relaxing weekend. I actually have to work 2 weeks of 5 workdays. Woe is me. lol. Please stop by again, I hope to have a few more posts this week!
Hugs,
Hi all-
Hope that your weekend is going well. Today, I tried my hand at creating from a Karber digital image. My wonderful friend Berenice started a company with her friend Karla. So I wanted to also show my support to her DT members, Linda and Kim . So, they are having weekly, monthly and Christmas challenges. This week is Twilight. Now you all know that I'm Team Edward but my favorite character is his "sister" Alice, because she's so sweet & funny. Plus, she's a shopper.
Please check out Karber's challenges, here. Hopefully, I can get back into the swing of things and post a couple more this weekend!
Hugs to all,
P.S.
For those wanting a FREE SU! Holiday 2010 mini-catalog mailed to them, please drop me a comment or e-mail me at jnk1too@gmail.com with your snail mail. Please do not leave your addy here though! I should be receiving them by September 1st & will be sending them out soon thereafter!
Aloha all-
Today, Tamiko's is having a sketch challenge. We had to use flowers & ribbons for embellishments. Check for site for the specific layout. Here was my contribution:
Hope y'all can come back soon. I should be posting on a more frequent basis. Thank you for all of your kind comments. It really inspires me to create.
Hugs,
Janis
Aloha all-
My gf, Kyoko, started a monthly tag swap. We were partnered up on Sunday and I was so surprised to receive my partner's tags in the mailbox yesterday!!! Charlotte doesn't have a blog but is a frequent visitor to many of the sites. She's also my fellow SU! demonstrator. Here is her wonderful tags:
Hopefully, I will be able to create something as beautiful as Charlotte. Thanks for visiting and come back soon.
Hugs,
Janis
